Functional ware

Built to work, not just to look good.

Some floors have a job to do before they impress anyone. On our dirt-barrier the colour is pressed deep into the coarse twist-nylon fibre — nothing sits on top to scuff away. It prints a touch coarser than felt, and that heavier fibre is exactly what does the work.

Scrapes & abrades — the coarse pile takes grit off shoes and wheels before it travels inside. Soaks up water — rain and meltwater are held at the door, not carried onto your floor.

Restoration & reproduction

Historic reproductions — printed, not knotted.

The source was a single scrap of a centuries-old carpet, nothing more. We photographed the fragment, rebuilt the pattern repeat graphically and printed the entire surface. The result is not a display piece but a historic interior put back the way it was — the floor as it lay centuries ago. Hand-knotted, the same job would have taken months and a hundred times the price.

Most stands lay a solid-colour carpet — tidy, but the same flat block of colour as the stand next door. A printed velour floor is the eye-catcher almost nobody brings: full-surface artwork, edge-sharp, walk-on, working as hard as the walls.
